Peter Reviews The Vamps

The Vamps took to the stage of the Motorpoint Arena during their Night & Day Tour. The set list filled with hits old and new was well received by the audience, especially newer songs “Staying Up” and “Middle of The Night” which both fuse the slick production of some of EDM’s finest, Matoma and Martin Jensen with the bands signature guitar pop sounds. Maggie Lindeman came along to perform her song “Personal” with the band, before performing her 2016 solo hit “Pretty Girl” with the help of the band. As the band hit the stage for the encore, they performed new album track “Same To You”, a song which carries a much more mature sound and more personal lyrics, before they launch into their huge hit All Night. All in all, whilst I would have preferred less reliance on backing tracks and a fuller live sound, the band did what they do best and left the Nottingham crowd in the palm of their hand from beginning to end.
